White Spotted Greenling
Hexagrammos stelleri
White spotted greenling are found in the North Pacific, from the Oregon Coast to the Sea of Japan. They mostly reside in inshore waters, from intertidal zones to depth up to 200m. The types of habitat where you can expect to see them are piers, pylings, rocks and eel grass. White spotted greenling generally feed on small crustaceans, worms and occasionally small fish. They are not very big. Fish between 8 and 12 inches are common but they are known to grow as large as 18 inches long.
